Racha Islands

The Racha Islands — Racha Yai and Racha Noi — lie approximately 20 kilometers south of Phuket in the open Andaman Sea. Racha Yai (Big Racha) is renowned for its crescent-shaped Batok Bay with powder-white sand and exceptionally clear water that shimmers between turquoise and deep sapphire depending on the light.

Racha Noi, the more remote of the two, is uninhabited and offers some of the best diving conditions in the Phuket area — with visibility regularly exceeding 25 meters and encounters with manta rays between February and April. The coral reefs here are among the healthiest near Phuket, supporting an abundance of marine life from reef sharks to octopus. For yacht charters, the Racha Islands offer the perfect balance — close enough for a comfortable day trip yet far enough to feel genuinely remote.
